Experience FAQs
What is the Saunable Social Experience like?
Our social sauna experience combines relaxation with a friendly, communal atmosphere. These sessions may have multiple parties sharing the sauna together. Each session is 75 minutes long, providing time for a few heat-cool cycles.
- Community and Comfort: Engage in light conversations or enjoy shared quiet time in a respectful, inclusive setting.
- Relaxing Ambience: The sauna offers a tranquil oasis with quality heat and a serene setting, ideal for relaxation and mental rejuvenation.
- Health Benefits: Enjoy the wellness advantages of sauna heat, including muscle relaxation and improved circulation.
What about Private experiences?
The private sauna experience is just like the social sauna experience, except that you will have the entire sauna dedicated to your group.
I’m not a “sauna person”. How is this different from other saunas?
Traditional Finnish wood-fired saunas offer a unique way to relax and rejuvenate, and are quite different from other saunas you might have tried in your local gym or at a hotel. We invite you to try it at least once – you might be pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable and beneficial the experience can be!
What is included in each session?
Each session starts with an overview of how the cycle of heat – cool – relax – hydrate works. Your guide will be there to answer any questions you have, and make sure everyone is comfortable and safe.
Each participant is provided a fresh towel and bottled water as part of the experience, as well as a private, clean, dry area to change.
How do I book a session?

What should I do to prepare for a sauna session
To prepare for a sauna session, it’s recommended to stay hydrated, avoid heavy meals beforehand, and wear comfortable, breathable clothing or swimwear (avoid clothing with metal fasteners!)
What do I need to bring?
Bring comfortable, breathable clothing or swimwear. There are clean, dry, private changing areas available.
Bring easily removable footwear like sandals for maximum comfort during your cool down sessions.
Where are you located
We will be at Lebanon Hills Regional Park, on Shulze Lake Beach for the 2024-2024 season! Check out our Experiences Page for more details.
How many people fit in the sauna?
For our social sessions, we limit the sauna to 8 people. During private sessions, you’re welcome to bring a group of up to 10 people.
Will I have the sauna to myself, or will there be other people with me?
During our Social experiences, you may share the sauna with people from other groups. This is a very traditional Finnish way of enjoying sauna!
Private sessions are just that! For one price, you get the sauna to yourself, and you’re welcome to bring up to 10 people total to your session at no extra cost.
What is your experience cancellation policy?
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for rescheduling or cancelling appointments. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time are non-refundable.
Are there age restrictions?
For private sessions, we don’t have an age limit, and leave it up to the parent’s discretion.
In social sessions, participants should be at least 14 years old and be accompanied by a parent or guardian if under 18.
How hot does the sauna get?
Our Minnesota made Kuuma stove can efficiently heat the sauna up to a temperature around 200f. A good temperature range for an enjoyable sauna is between 170f-200f. We typically aim for around 180-190 for the Sauna Experiences.
Is there a changing room?
Yes! The “cool room” measures about 8′ x 8′, and includes a curtained off corner for changing. The space for changing measures about 3.5′ x 3.5′. There are also coat hooks for jackets and robes, as well as cubbies to store your street clothes after you change.
